Centerfold film comes pre-folded down the center, creating a tube-like opening on one side. This makes it well suited for sealing on two or three sides rather than four, which can speed up sealing for certain product shapes.
What Flat Film Is
Flat film is a single continuous sheet with no pre-fold, offering more flexibility in how it's wrapped and sealed around a product. It's often the more versatile choice when product sizes or shapes vary.
Matching Film Type to Your Sealer
Not every sealer is set up to run both film types equally well — check your machine's specifications before switching, since centerfold film in particular depends on consistent fold alignment to feed correctly.
